Let's make it better, eh?

After that last post, as I was doing dishes, I started thinking about all the amazingly special reasons that my life is grand. Then I thought to list a few of them. Here we go and in no order.

Having a washer machine, even if it is acting up.
Clorox wipes and bug spray.
The kids healthy and happy.
Being able to send Jason to an amazing private school.
Running water and Almond Joy's.
A new healthy puppy.
Security in my husband's job.
Health and Dental Insurance.
Food, even the unhealthy kind.
A new episode of Spongebob to enjoy with Jason at 8:00.
Extracurricular activities.
My marriage and our health.
Means to provide for our family. Security.
The Internet to connect with the world.
Friends like Lewis, Bell and Julie.
Family like the Allemans, Weis and Lees.
Superstar, Jason.
Warm, outdoor weather.
Bedtime and Books.
The library sale and soccer game tomorrow.
Electronics and pencils.
Fresh flowers and veggies.
A house of our own.
Weight Loss 25+ pounds.
Scotland in September.
My Canon and Sony.
Online Bill Pay and Shopping.
A supportive husband and an amazing set of twins.
Coupons to help keep life less expensive.
The cutest pink scissors to clip them out with.

There you have it. In less than 5 minutes, a quick simple list that made me take a deep breath and realize that today was an amazing day, even if I didn't notice it then.

Sorry Friday. We will do better next week, eh?

Today was not my day.

I admit that most days are manageable. Others, like today, I am just strugglin' to survive. It started out early but well. Of course it would help if I ever got some real sleep, Lincoln and Zach.

Jason had his school fair and I was a chaperon along with the twins. Jason got to pick several friends to be in our group. They were all boys. It was crazy, chaotic, fun. There were rides, a band and food. Each boy got a hot dog, cotton candy, popcorn, sno-cone, and a beverage. Can you picture that? Me with the stroller and babies, 3 extra boys, 3 hot dogs, 3 popcorn's, 3 cotton candies, 3 waters, 3 sno-cones yet only 2 hands. We had a ton of sticky fun.

On a side note, I think that when I eat bad it does not help my day. I feel like I lost that days battle with food and have to wait another 24 hours to start fresh. Ugh.

Moving on. We were home by 1130 and played outside for a good half hour. Then in for diaper changes and what I was hoping would be naps for the littlest two. Ryan, sweet Ryan, goes to his crib, takes his bottle, lays down and I don't hear another peep until he wakes up. Today was a good 2 hours. Then we have Zachary.. It takes me rocking him for a half hour or more. Which means that is a half hour of time lost to make any head way while one baby is sleeping. Finally he gives in and goes down for a long nap too.

Our washer is beeping and I am not sure what is going on with that. Add to my day. The dog peeped in the house on a rug today, no biggie, accidents happen, but that does not help my mood. Hubby calls.. says he has a softball game at 6 and if they win another at 7 and if they win another at 8. Need I tell you that this does not help my mood at all? Didn't think so. He is my knight in ACU's. I look forward to that after 5 feeling. That "Thank Goodness the Hubby is almost home" for relief. So to know that I have another 5 hours on my own and at bedtime, really just sucks.

Add to it all the household dailies that I have to cram into day with babies that are now awake. But a break on the blog, Excedrin and fresh air may just help a little. We are all outside via lap top and trikes, enjoying each other.. for now.

And on one last side note. Jason is a rockstar. I have no complaints about him what so ever. He is my rock and keeps me sane. He is the peanut butter to my jelly.

Hey Blogger, Thanks for the vent. Out, M

Scandalous.

Today when I was working on registering the Pup, I had this brilliant idea. Under the "Owners" section, I put my name. That way if I ever divorce the hubby, I get sole custody of the dog.

I am not to worried about the kids.

We can always cut them in half.

Wednesday.

I am glad to welcome back the sun today. However, the yard is still soaked which means no play time for little boys. Ugh. Tonight is karate. Two babies are napping.

So I am full of giggles today. First because I had a great nights sleep, but I was up till midnight trying to fall asleep, if not later.. But the reason it was awesome like pie; Lincoln slept through the night in his pen (not crate) and never whelped or cried. I did get up at 230 and 430 to let him out and then he was up at 6. Way to go, Lincoln.

I called our Vet-To-Be today and got the ball rolling on his next check up/shots. He will also get "cut" at 6 months+ old. Did you know that it is cheaper the less your dogs weigh? Hmmm.. Weird. Luckily, our vet is a dad of one of our soccer team mates. So it is good to know people. I also finished up his registration today with AKC. He is official now and sleeping at my feet. Here he is looking out at Jacques and Jason on Saturday. More photos later.

On to the kids.. Zachary has 3 new tricks that he picked up yesterday and today. First, he said "Bob" when Jason turned on Spongebob. Second, I taught him to put his finger up to his lip and "shshshhs" when the dog is sleeping. Cute. Third, today his dad taught him to give a ''pound'' which is just a cool high five with your fist. Tomorrow I plan on teaching him Chinese.

Ryan. Boy has that kid got this whole sleeping thing figured out. The kep to naps: Make him take him in his bed, not the living room. He sleeps much longer and heavier. Hooray! He has been sleeping through the night for months, but I just want to give him some more praise for that. Now if Zachary would ever sleep.... at night... alone. Ugh. I am on the couch with him nightly. But that was better than the two month recliner phase.

Chat at you later. Look for more photos on flickr.

Hugs, Flo

easter eggs on easter sunday.

April 8th

Photos from last week. The twins have to fight over the seats on the teeter-tooter. There are obviously two identical seats, but they only want the one the other is on. Ugh.

What, is there something in my teeth?

Zachary says, "Cheese" when I take photos now. This is from yesterday. Eating a Chips Ahoy while we were dyeing eggs.

Sixteen Months Sweet.

Happy Easter.

Our Easter is off to a super slow start but in case yours is on schedule, Happy Easter. Our night was rough with a certainly sweet fur ball yelping for more love and cuddles, and we have twins. Need I say more? The "Easter Bunny" was up at 2 a.m. getting things together.. if you get my drift.

Then the hubby and I both woke up with head colds and my whole body was aching. We watched some Speed channel then Pay If Forward. I took a shower. Two Babies sleeping and a huge to do list of house and yard work. Thank Goodness for Day-Quil, Coffee and Codeine.

The kids and I are dying 30 or 40 eggs today that the hubby boiled yesterday. Then we will have a hunt for fun and photos. I intended on having dyed them yesterday but forgot the vinegar at Walmart because Ryan ate my list.

Look for a more positive post later. Maybe.

About our little Lincoln.

Thanks for all the awesome words. I had 6 great comments on Facebook, a couple on flickr and handful here too. Last night went well and I was super surprised how he fit in perfectly into our family.

Lincoln's name: We were going to call him Lewis. We had picked out that name months ago. In the van on the way home, we were randomly going over names to make sure we picked the perfect one. I had said, "Truman" and then Jacques said, "Lincoln." And we both new that was what he was. Like an honest Abe.. Lincoln.

Ryan is by far the fondest of the dog, and I think it goes both ways. Zachary is a ham and likes to point at his eyes. Jason is, and this surprised us, less into the dog. He wants to do all the dog things like fetch and what not. We reassured him that in a few months, he will be huge and ready to roll. I also think he worries about scratches and accidentally hurting the dog. For months, we were teaching him how the pup is fragile, like a baby and how he will have sharp baby teeth and claws. But he is always, "Mom shhhshh, Lincoln is sleeping."

Did I mention that Lincoln will be the world's most photographed pup? Yeah, good thing I went digital. The film would kill me. Look for more photos today too.. Oh yeah, and I might even snap one of the kids too.

Jacques is Mr. Mom. I heard him up early with Lincoln. He was talking and lovin' on him. He is in love with that pup. I am too. We all are.

More Later.
