failed fisherman.

A new page from yesterday titled "failed fisherman" Journaling reads: the story behind this photo of the failed fisherman, i guess that when you have three other peoples' hooks to bait and cast and rebait and recast again, not including your own, well i guess that means you just don't get much time to fish for yourself. but i hope you know that you mean the world to us for taking time to "bait our hooks" first. thank you, we all love you very much. fathers day june 18, 2006.

Seriously we had a great time, but the hubby was way annoyed with us all, and was the only one not to catch a fish, while we all stood around catching multiple fish (which he also had to free from the line) I refuse to touch a live fish or worm..yuck! So the title is just a little humor and no pun on the hubby what so ever, more of a thank you.. and a we love you for always baiting our hooks first.

simple sunday.

That's how my day was, simple. I loved it! We were up early and out the door by nine for church, Jason went to children's church and I enjoyed service with no interruptions :) Then it was out to lunch. Followed by some secondhand shopping, where we found brand new Thomas trains for $5! After that we came home to change into sweats and we loaded up Jason's bike and drove over to the nature/river trail and he rode while I got in a jog. The weather was great here today! Back home, I cleaned and vacuumed the van while Jason enjoyed whats left of the melting snow. Later a quick trip to Walmart for fresh veggies and cough syrup (insert cough here) where I was carded in order to buy it! Geeeeeshhh!! And then a stop at the game store where I decided that I needed a Sega, an ancient antique! So we bought some games (really cheap) and tomorrow I will call around to pawn shops to hunt one down if my mom can't find one. Whewww!! That's alot of jabberin, huh? Did I mention CSI was on all day? Have a good night! (Photo is from this month.)

new pages..

Woohooooo! More layouts to share:) The top is my mother's dog, our family pet, and she is chubby, overweight and just the cutest thing ever. This was an old photo that I had from feb. 2006, found it and scrapped it today. It always feels good to get a photos out of the older piles. And I used a new Autumn Leaves stamp that I bought months ago. The bottom LO photo is from 2004 and I have scrapped it before, but wanted to do it again. Love it and miss those curls..

2 layouts in one day

Just two layouts that I was able to get done today and I am going for more! Wanted to share these. I am always excited when I scrap a photo that is only a week old! The top one is from our valentines shoot. Note: this page was just one of the many photos chosen that he had that little smirk. Grrrrrrrr! So I was inspired to do a layout, wohoohh! Although I really got some excellent photos too that day. I'll post those another time. Later Taters.

encourage art.

I love what he does. Just wanted to some of Jason's projects from this past weekend. A self portrait of himself and a paper person, also of himself, with legs and arms too! Jason knows that nothing is off limits when it comes to art in this house. He has all access to my stash. Paints, tape, glue, glitter, stickers, playdough, absolutely anything to encourage art. I love this kid! XOXOXOXO

3 projects with 2 papers

Okay, so I am loving the American Crafts line right now. Which is good cause I have been on a Ki kick. When I did the "the moment i found out you were cool album" (view older posts to see it!)the papers were so good together that I wanted to use them on something else too. I did the title page for our 2007 album, loved how it turned out ans decided to make project number 3, a travel album. And that's all, just kraft paper and a sheet of patterned paper. Added some embellishments and woohoooooooo!! And finally here are some photos of my valentines. Just an embellished paper sack with chocolate! Yummm! I think I did nine total. They were a big hit.
